A causation report answers the central insurance question: what most likely caused the observed damage? We assess site evidence, event history, construction, deterioration and plausible alternative mechanisms before setting out a reasoned conclusion.
Our reports are written to explain the observed condition, the engineering mechanism, the relevant evidence and the practical next step. Where further testing or specialist input is required, that limitation is stated clearly.
How it works
We review the claim, available documents and the question the report must answer before attending site.
Site evidence is documented through measurements, photographs and engineering observations relevant to the reported damage.
The report sets out the evidence, reasoning, conclusion and recommended next step in language the recipient can act on.
